Financial

How much will it cost?

All members of the group pay a regular subscription to cover the group running costs. These are paid at the start of each term and are based on the number of sessions per term. The current rate is based on £5 per meeting. Where more than one family member belongs to the gprup, we offer a 20% discount tot he second and subsequent family members. Payment of fees can be via cash, cheque or bank transfer.

The fees cover all costs for belonging to the group although sometimes we have to ask for specific costs (such as contribution towards the costs of visiting the West End or for catering during a show) over and above these.

We believe that costs should not be a barrier to anyone taking part in drama. If the fees may be an issue for you, you can speak with one of our Leaders in confidence.

How is the group funded?

The majority of the costs for running the group are met through the subscriptions paid by the members each term. These cover the normal costs of running weekly meetings includng paying for renting the hall, insurance and mebership fees. Our most expensive activity each year are our shows, the costs of which are geenrally paid for by ticket sales and associated income.

Any surplus in funds are used to purchase equipment required for the group such as radio microphones.

Do the Leaders get paid?

No they do not. All leaders and everyone involved give their time voluntarily to the group. In fact, leaders often pay for many of the costs associated with the group from their own pockets.
